On September 14th, over 70 horses and riders met at the Tack Shack in Fremont, NH to participate in the first Hidden Pond Equine Rescue Trail Ride. It was a festive atmosphere, with live music provided by New Threads. Many thanks to The Tack Shack for allowing us access to their property, the Rockingham Riding Club for marking the trails for the ride, Amanda Hanson of Boulder Brook Stables for help with the raffle, and Fairway Horse Transport and Graceful Image Farm for their sponsorship.
HPF’s Phyllis Elliott was thrilled: “Despite some trail construction that required rerouting the start, a swarm of bees, and of course the rain we always get, it was a success and tons of fun. 2020 is already booked for September 12. See all of you riders and hopefully more, with the possibility of sun. Law of averages says we are due. Thank you donors, sponsors, volunteers and riders!”
