This trail ride is dedicated to Marie Perreault, who passed away in June 2021. Marie was a long-time friend, supporter, and a beloved member of the HPF family. She and her husband Dick were there to lend a hand at every HPF event. They often spent time at the farm with their daughter Dineen and her rescue horse Franklin. We miss her more than we can say.

The ride starts and ends at The Tack Shack, 154 Martin Road, Fremont, NH.

Riders and hand-walkers (horses/ponies/donkeys/minis) welcome! Riders may start their ride anytime between 9AM-12PM, and will ride at their own pace. There will be a shorter route (about 1 hour) and 2 longer routes (about 2 hours each). See map.

ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. The deadline for registration is August 20th.
All registered participants will be provided with a light bag lunch.

All participants are required to agree to the liability waiver when they register. A parent or guardian must verify the waiver for riders under age 18.

COVID 19 Precautions

If you have not been vaccinated for COVID19, please wear a mask when in close proximity to others.

NOTE: Riding helmets are required for children under 18, and strongly recommended for adults.

By registering for the 2nd Annual Marie Perreault Memorial Trail Ride, sponsored and organized by HPF-Rescue-Rehab-Rehome d/b/a Hidden Pond Farm Equine Rescue (“Hidden Pond”), I hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms as they apply to myself and to any of my minor children or guardians participating in this event:

I understand that horseback riding, regardless of whether it is done indoors or outdoors in any setting, is a dangerous activity. I accept and assume all risks of injury (including death) to me or my property.

In exchange for being permitted to participate in this Trail Ride, for myself, my heirs, guardians, representatives, successors, or assigns, I release and agree not to make or bring any claim of any kind against Hidden Pond or its Board of Directors, owners, representatives, employees, volunteers, successors, assigns, or guest or any landowners, landholders, or any other persons making property available for Hidden Pond, or the New Hampshire Horse and Trail Association (NHHTA), for any injury (including death), any damage to my property whether from anyone’s negligence or not, or any other cause, arising from or out of my participation in this dangerous horseback riding and equine related activity.

Further, I agree that if anyone makes any claims because of any injury to me (including death) or for any damage to my property, I will keep all those released by this agreement free of any damages or costs because of those claims.

WARNING: Under New Hampshire law, an equine activity sponsor, an equine professional, or any other person engaged in equine activities is not liable for an injury or death of a participant resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities. RSA 508:19 (2010).
