About the Presenters

Kay Dobson

Kay Dobson
“The Gentle Horse Dentist”
dobsondentistry.com
Kay takes care of the horses’ teeth here at the Rescue—without sedating them.
“Simply understanding a horse’s mental and/or physical state and/or knowing how to change it for the better could be the difference between using sedation or harsher treatments on horses. All horses NEED empathy. They have a story, they have a past, they have baggage. They want to be heard and they want to tell us their stories. My biggest belief is if we take the time to listen and find out what’s under it all, our horses will have a deeper trust of us and perform and be so much better in every aspect of life.”
