Pearl is a ~2001 mustang mare rounded up by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) in Nevada and then probably used as a broodmare. When she was rescued from a Pennsylvania kill pen, she was in foal; her daughter Hidden Angel (aka Angel) was born here in 2018.
When she first arrived at the farm, Pearl didn’t trust people at all. It was clear that she had endured some rough handling in her former life. Over time and with a lot of consistent and gentle handling, she’s become calmer and much easier to work with. She has probably never been ridden.
Pearl is a permanent resident at the Rescue. We are hoping to find a monthly donor to sponsor her.
