(Why “Camp Desperado?” Desperado, one of our rescued pony mules, is quite a character—and a farm favorite.)
CAMP DESPERADO IS A WRAP!
Our first summer camp season is over and—in spite of epic heat and humidity—it was a smashing success! In each of the six 5-day sessions, campers learned basic farm and horse safety, how to groom and lead, and got some time in the saddle, along with games, writing assignments, and team projects. Here’s what we heard from campers’ parents:
“Thank you much for providing such a wonderful summer camp opportunity! She’ll be back!”
“She is loving camp and said she wants to come back next year too.”“It’s been a wonderful program.”
“Thanks again and my daughter is excited to go back next year if you do the camp again!”“Kylie LOVED the camp and can’t wait for next summer!”“Madeleine really enjoyed camp this summer and can’t wait to return next year! She especially liked the fact that so much time was spent with the horses. Her favorite part was the riding!”Stay tuned for info about next summer’s sessions!
