Thanks to American Trucks’ Positive Payload Program!

January 11, 2022 by Edie

Great News! We’ve received a $250 donation from American Trucks’ Positive Payload Program! We’re absolutely thrilled and very grateful for American Trucks’ support! This generous donation will help us buy essential supplies for the horses at the Rescue this winter.

The Program is designed to benefit non-profit charitable organizations who use and rely on pickup trucks and pickup truck accessories  to better their community. Anyone who works with or volunteers for a charity that uses pickups from Ford, Chevy, GMC, or Dodge is welcome to apply for a $250 donation to the charity they are involved with. Visit the Positive Payload Program website for complete info.

What hurricane? We hit the trails!

September 6, 2021 by Edie

Although Hurricane Henri was on its way, more than 20 intrepid riders joined us for the Marie Perreault Memorial Trail Ride in Fremont, NH, on August 22nd. The trails were unusually wet due to the wettest summer we’ve had in years, but the horses braved the high water and kept right on going. The last riders returned just before the downpour began. Photos from the ride can be found on Facebook.

March 24, 2021: HPF on “New Hampshire Chronicle”

March 24, 2021 by Edie

The New Hampshire Chronicle team from WMUR-TV visited the Rescue in early May 2019, and got to meet Phyllis, Bella, and a few of the horses. (Louise was quite curious about the camera, as you will see.) Here’s the story as it aired on May 8th, 2019 (and again on March 24, 2021).

HPF named Townsend Media “Year of Service” Partner

October 4, 2020 by Edie

The Rescue was recently named one of Townsquare Media’s “Year of Service” partners. The annual Year of Service program is a comprehensive on-air and digital program designed to make a significant contribution to regional non-profit organizations, and has been running for over thirty years. This year, the charitable initiative will support seven non-profits—including Hidden Pond Farm Equine Rescue—across four Townsquare Media radio stations.

Townsquare has created a one-minute public service announcement about the Rescue that is playing on local radio stations. (With their permission, we turned it into a video. Take a look!)

The 2nd Annual HPF Trail Ride is a Wrap!

September 13, 2020 by Edie

September 12, 2020 was a gorgeous day, perfect for a trail ride. The trails were clear, the sky was blue, and the horses and riders were happy (and well-behaved!). Thanks to everyone who helped to make it a success—HPF volunteers, donors, and friends, the craftspeople who displayed their wares, the Tack Shack for their hospitality, and Fairway Horse Transport for their sponsorship. We’ll announce a date for next year’s ride soon!

Phyllis Elliott radio interview, July 2020

July 8, 2020 by Edie

An excellent interview with Phyllis about HPF and horse rescue in general by Celeste Baranyi of WBLM Radio in Portland, ME. Highly recommended listening if you want to know more about Phyllis, the Rescue, and how horses at the rescue can be sponsored, leased, and adopted.
