As hay prices have soared, some folks are having to decide between paying their rent or feeding their horses. Hidden Pond Farm Equine Rescue has created a community-supported Hay Bank that will provide hay to horse owners in temporary financial straits who can’t afford to buy hay to feed their horses.
Apply for Hay Bank Grant
If you can’t afford the hay your horse needs, fill out an application and we’ll be in touch by phone. Or you can download the application, print it, fill it out, and mail it to us. Or you can pick up an application at Dodge Grain in Salem, NH, and mail it to us.
NOTE: This program is only for individual horse owners in financial difficulty. Hidden Pond Farm Equine Rescue will field and verify requests for support, and will work with hay vendors to arrange for delivery.
Donate to Help Horse Owners in Need
Our goal is to create a hay bank that will be sustained by donations from the local community. The more donations we receive, the more people (and horses) we can help! Thanks to the generous support of the ASPCA Right Horse program, all donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to $15,000 total, so your contribution will go twice as far.
PLEASE NOTE: We are not able to help everyone who submits an application. We will consider applications on a case-by-case basis, based on the information provided.
Hidden Pond Farm Equine Rescue reserves the right to decline applications based on fund availability, the nature of request, or for any other lawful reason.
