Although Marjorie’s Girl mother was in foal when she was rescued, she was also nursing her 6-month old colt, Nugget, who was rescued with her. Mama and Nugget were both extremely skinny when they arrived at the Rescue. With a lot of TLC, they both gained weight and we were able to wean Nugget so that Mama could save her strength for the foal she was carrying. Marjorie’s Girl was born at the Rescue on April 30, 2020.
MJ is a curious, friendly filly, and a beautiful mover. (We believe that Mama is a Paso Fino, but we don’t know for sure. MJ is not gaited, however.) There’s something about her: you know that she’s special the first time you meet her.
MJ is available for adoption to a home with proven experience bringing along young horses.
