This summer, we’re offering 2 day camp sessions: June 24-28 and August 5-9. Campers ages 8-18 learn about horse care and handling, riding, horse rescue, farm chores, and gardening. Registration opens in April!
Hidden Pond Farm
Phyllis Elliott named “2022 New Hampshire Horse Person of the Year”
What hurricane? We hit the trails!
Although Hurricane Henri was on its way, more than 20 intrepid riders joined us for the Marie Perreault Memorial Trail Ride in Fremont, NH, on August 22nd. The trails were unusually wet due to the wettest summer we’ve had in years, but the horses braved the high water and kept right on going. The last riders returned just before the downpour began. Photos from the ride can be found on Facebook.
March 24, 2021: HPF on “New Hampshire Chronicle”
The New Hampshire Chronicle team from WMUR-TV visited the Rescue in early May 2019, and got to meet Phyllis, Bella, and a few of the horses. (Louise was quite curious about the camera, as you will see.) Here’s the story as it aired on May 8th, 2019 (and again on March 24, 2021).
3rd Annual HPF Trail Ride
Join us for the Third Annual HPF Trail Ride on August 22, 2021, starting (as always) at the Tack Shack in Fremont, NH. Last year we had over 60 riders and walkers, and everyone had a fine time. Registration will open in May or June, so stay tuned!
HPF named Townsend Media “Year of Service” Partner
The Rescue was recently named one of Townsquare Media’s “Year of Service” partners. The annual Year of Service program is a comprehensive on-air and digital program designed to make a significant contribution to regional non-profit organizations, and has been running for over thirty years. This year, the charitable initiative will support seven non-profits—including Hidden Pond Farm Equine Rescue—across four Townsquare Media radio stations.
Townsquare has created a one-minute public service announcement about the Rescue that is playing on local radio stations. (With their permission, we turned it into a video. Take a look!)
