“It’s not only what we do for the horse, but what they give back to us.”
“I love seeing the transformation these horses go through. Watching them learn to trust again, and seeing the expressions on their faces when they do—or hearing them nicker when they see you coming—is an amazing feeling.””
“Nothing feels better to watch them slowly recover and gain themselves back.”
Hidden Pond Farm Equine Rescue is a volunteer-based organization—without our volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to do all the things we need to do to take
care of the horses. They clean stalls, fill water buckets, groom and exercise the horses, and do whatever else is needed around the farm.Volunteering is a great way to learn about horses and horse rescue. If you don’t have any experience, there’s no substitute for spending time on the farm, doing chores and being in proximity to the horses themselves. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact
Phyllis Elliott via email or at 603-568-6654.
