UPDATE: We used Athena for our summer camp this year—she was awesome with the kids so we’ve decided to keep her on the farm as one of our ambassadors. She is not available for adoption.
Athena is was foaled ~2006 and is 14.3-15hh. HPF rescued her from a Pennsylvania kill pen in 2015 and she was adopted to a good home. Unfortunately, due to changes in her owner’s family situation, Athena was returned to the Rescue in 2019.
When she first came to HPF in 2015, she was very good under saddle, responsive to leg pressure, and easy to handle.
